Temperature effects on soliton pairs in novel photorefractive crystals having both the linear and quadratic electro-optic effects

Abstract We investigate and formulate a detailed theory studying the temperature effects on bright-dark optical spatial soliton pair in novel photorefractive crystals having both nonlinearities i.e., quadratic linear electro-optic effects. The coupled modified Nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS) equations is solved exactly to obtain analytical solutions for components. There are few physical factors which dependent temperature: dielectric constant, dark irradiance diffusion current. consider variation of constant study effect nonlinearity. Various FWHM curves plotted give us an idea self trapping nonlinearity’s dependence

Liquid-crystals electro-optic modulator based on electrohydrodynamic effects.
A new method of light modulation is reported. This method is based on the electro-optical properties of nematic materials and on the use of a new wedge structure. The advantages of this structure are the possibility of modulating nonpolarized light and the improved signal-to-noise ratio. The highest modulating frequency obtained is 25 kHz.
